Styling a Studio Apartment

Sharing the studio apartment can be challenging to design as less than 500 square feet single room has to function as a living room, dining space, kitchen, bedroom and home office also equipped with a bathroom.

First and foremost, sleeping area has to be separated from the other areas of home which can be done with a glass partition, that have curtains for privacy, to avoid the light blockage by having a permanent partition. Try to create visual demarcation by the use of rugs.

Use furniture like sofa-cum-bed or Murphy bed that can be folded against the wall when not in use. Folding desks, nesting tables and ottomans with storage are intelligent options.
 
Keep your space clutter free, use closed cabinets, wardrobes, and storage beds. Over display of things will make space look crowded. To create a bright and airy space use neutral or pastel shades. Mirrors create visual space and if put on wall opposite to the window it will reflect natural light and brighten up the space. use of sheer curtains helps natural light to filter through.

Intelligent use of light can be handy to create well-illuminated space. Ceiling lights, lamps, floor lamps can be a good option.
