The Elgin Cafe in Amritsar, is a transformation of dilapidated farmland to a bright, open multifaceted space in a striking green colour scheme highlighted with warm gold accents.
All of it forms a united, cohesive space through the use of monochromatic green, which ties in with the idea of a nature-friendly spot by day. By night, it envelops the crowd in an intimate, buzzy, low-lit pub ambience
Salmon-coloured with seating dull-gold accents highlights the shades of green. Use of traditional switch boards, natural cane, and the local green Udaipur stone are all the part of the idea of going local and using indigenous materials.
A small entrance leads to the wine bar, with shelving that runs alongside the long, fluted bar. In this space, is a community table clad in green stone, paired with high chairs.
